Use the following steps if Quicken's import feature does not recognize the file you exported from Internet banking:
1. From the Mac OS Apple menu, choose Control Panels, and then choose File Exchange.
2. On the PC Exchange tab, select qif in the PC Extension column, and then click Change.
3. Select SimpleText (or Quicken) in the Application list, select TEXT from the File Type drop-down list, and then click Change.
4. Restart your computer, and then import your .qif file again. If you have trouble importing the file, export your Quicken data file again to create a new .qif file, and then import the new .qif file.
